It's a new year

Ok, so in this new year I will try to update my blog more, however I am also going to cook more and clean my house more so well see if that actually happens haha!!!!

So Charlie seemed to enjoy his first Christmas. He really loves all of his presents :). He was a little confused about why we were all tearing up paper and opening boxes but it didn't take him long to get the hang of it! And, it snowed on his first Christmas!!! Too bad he is too little to remember it! He wasn't much of a fan of the snow. He really didn't like being cooped up in the house for that long. He wanted to get out and go sale shopping :).

Charlie wasn't sure how he felt about Santa. At first, it was ok, but then when he turned around and really looked at him it freaked him out haha.

He went for his 9 month check up a few weeks ago and he was 22 pounds and 10 ounces and 29 inches long. He is a growing boy! He is wearing size 4 diapers, size 4 shoes and 12-18 month clothes! I cannot believe how much he has grown up!! He is not a little baby anymore. :(

In the last few weeks he has started taking steps on his own! The most he has taken by himself in row is 5. He can walk on his own he just doesn't realize it (which I am NOT complaining about!). I am so not ready for him to walk!!!

He is eating a lot of table foods now. He still HAS to have a bottle to go to sleep though. So he is taking them before naps and bedtime, but other than that he eats real food.

We took a weekend trip to Memphis. Matt had to do inventory on Saturday night, so Charlie and I went with him. Charlie was soooooo good on Saturday! We went and ate at Red Robin and shopped all day until daddy had to go to the store. Then, Charlie decided he didn't want to sleep well. A crying 9 month old at 3 a.m. in a hotel is very stressful!!! But, we survived :). Also, just as a side note I think they should have some hotel rooms that are baby proofed. I mean, I would pay extra to stay in it. It was so stressful having to move stuff in front of the outlets and making sure he didn't put things (remote, curtains, etc...) in his mouth! Whew, I'm glad we went, but I'm also glad its over :).

I can't believe in just two months he is going to be 1!!! Time flies!!!
